Official: New Dates for PSL X Announced

After days of uncertainty, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is officially back on track. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that PSL X will resume on May 17, putting an end to mounting speculation over the future of this landmark tenth edition.

PSL X, which had reached a critical juncture before being suspended, was halted due to escalating military tensions in the region, most notably the fallout from the conflict between Pakistan and India. In a climate of heightened risk, the PCB had no choice but to pause operations.

The remaining matches of the league will resume under intensified security protocols, with matches expected to be played under controlled attendance depending on the evolving situation. Venues are being re-evaluated for logistical feasibility, with Karachi and Rawalpindi remaining frontrunners for hosting the final leg.

While the officially revised schedule is being worked on, the PCB chairman has confirmed that the final will take place on May 25. Only four group-stage fixtures are left, which will be followed by four playoff fixtures.

While Quetta Gladiators are the only team to secure their qualification thus far, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi are battling for the remaining three slots.

The PCB is also working swiftly to reconfirm overseas player availability, with several international cricketers indicating a willingness to return for the business end of the tournament.
