3 Major Motorways Closed for Traffic Due to Strong Winds

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued an advisory announcing the temporary closure of multiple motorway sections in Punjab due to strong winds, citing safety concerns for all types of vehicles.

According to the advisory:

  • M-2 Motorway: Closed from Kot Momin Interchange (KM 163) to Thokar Niaz Baig (KM 01)
  • M-3 Motorway: Closed from Faizpur Interchange (KM 1147) to Darkhana Interchange (KM 918)
  • M-11 Motorway: Closed from Mehmood Booti (KM 02) to Sambrial Toll Plaza (KM 91)

The NHMP has urged motorists to avoid travelling on these routes until further notice. The closures have been enforced as a precautionary measure amid severe weather conditions.
