Lahore Qalandars produced a thrilling chase under the lights in Lahore to clinch their third Pakistan Super League title, edging past Quetta Gladiators by six wickets with one ball to spare in a high-octane PSL X final to be crowned champions once more.
Chasing a daunting target of 202, the Qalandars found a calm and destructive presence in Kusal Perera and Sikandar Raza, whose unbeaten knocks guided them to 204/4 and sealed one of the most memorable finishes in PSL history.
Quetta, riding high on momentum, built their total around a sensational innings from rising star Hasan Nawaz. The young right-hander smashed 76 off 43 balls, laced with eight boundaries and four sixes, anchoring the innings after early setbacks. Avishka Fernando (29 off 22) and Faheem Ashraf (28 off 8) pushed Quetta to a formidable 201/9.
Lahore’s chase began with positive intent, with Mohammad Naeem setting the tone with a blistering 46 off 27 balls. Abdullah Shafique contributed 41 off 28 in a stabilizing partnership, but it was Kusal Perera who took control of the chase after Naeem and Shafique’s dismissals.
Sikandar Raza joined Perera and swung the game decisively in Lahore’s favour after a wobble. The Zimbabwean’s explosive 22 not out from just seven deliveries, including two fours and two sixes, ensured there were no last-over jitters. The winning runs came with one ball remaining, capping off a chase executed with nerve and flair.
For Shaheen Afridi, this triumph marked a significant personal milestone. Already the youngest captain to win the PSL, he has now led Lahore to three titles in four seasons after their crowning moment as PSL X champions, tying Islamabad United as the most successful franchise of the past decade. He is also the only skipper to lead his team to three PSL titles in the league’s entire history.
For Quetta, the wait for a second title continues. Despite a strong showing across the tournament and a standout final performance from Hasan Nawaz, they couldn’t contain Lahore’s charge.
In a season that marked the league’s tenth edition, the final lived up to its billing—a run-fest, a test of temperament, and ultimately, a celebration of Lahore’s growing legacy in Pakistan’s biggest T20 competition.
