Over the past week, police registered 405 cases for various traffic violations. A total of 1,633 motorcycles and 633 vehicles were impounded for ignoring traffic rules. In addition, 35 overloaded trucks were taken into custody.
Fines were also issued for 81 lane violations, 140 cases of driving without a license, 65 instances of triple riding, and 84 underage drivers.
CTO Zeeshan Haider stated that a strict zero-tolerance policy is in place, and all actions are being taken without discrimination. He added that officers have been directed to ensure no one is allowed to drive without a valid license.
He appealed to the public to respect traffic laws and cooperate with traffic police to help establish a safer and more organized traffic system across Islamabad.
