For Pakistani travelers planning a trip to Europe, Germany has emerged as the easiest and most favourable Schengen destination for visa approvals in 2024.
According to official Schengen visa statistics, Pakistani nationals submitted 78,362 visa applications last year—a 9.61% drop compared to 2023. Despite the decline, Pakistan still ranked 28th globally for the most Schengen visa applications.
Germany was the most preferred country, receiving 20,570 applications from Pakistani residents. It also had the highest approval rate at 68.31%, making it the most successful destination for Pakistani applicants. In total, Germany approved 14,051 visas for Pakistanis in 2024.
Overall, Pakistani residents were granted 38,892 Schengen visas across different countries. The lowest number of applications—just 215—were submitted to Sweden.
Encouragingly, rejection rates for Pakistani applicants improved in 2024, dropping compared to the previous year. The approval rate per 1,000 Pakistani residents stood at 0.18%.
