The Sindh government has decided to impose a parking ban on some of Karachi’s busiest roads to alleviate traffic congestion. According to reports, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities to strictly enforce the ban.
The parking ban will be enforced on key roads, including II Chundrigar Road from Shaheen Complex to the Merewether Clock Tower, as well as Muhammad Bin Qasim Road to Dr. Ziauddin Road, including the area near SM Law College.
Vehicles found parked on these roads will be impounded, and their owners will face legal action. To accommodate motorists, the Railway Ground has been designated as a parking area.
The Karachi Traffic Police are actively enforcing the ban and are also targeting unregistered vehicles and those with fancy number plates. This initiative aims to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on Karachi’s roads, making commuting easier for citizens.
