Is Islamabad Getting a Trump Tower?

Rumors of a Trump Tower being built in Pakistan’s capital have gone viral after an X (formerly Twitter) account, South Asia Index, claimed that the Trump Organization is in talks with a Pakistani property tycoon to bring the iconic brand to Islamabad.

According to the post, the proposed project is still in its early stages but could involve significant foreign investment. The envisioned tower would reportedly mirror the design and luxury standards seen in Trump properties in Dubai and Istanbul, targeting elite clients, expatriates, and business professionals.

Rumors First Surfaced in January

The speculation isn’t entirely new. In January 2025, a local digital media platform, citing journalist Umar Cheema, reported that U.S. President Donald Trump might develop a Trump Tower in Pakistan, referencing the involvement of Trump’s close ally, Gentry Beach.

Gentry Beach’s Multi-Billion Dollar Real Estate Plans

The rumours gained traction following a visit by Gentry Beach, who leads White Bridge Real Estate. His firm announced plans for high-end developments in Islamabad and Karachi, including mixed-use skyscrapers and branded residences.

Beach met with top government officials and business leaders, highlighting Pakistan’s untapped potential in luxury real estate. He stated, “We see Pakistan as a high-growth market… the scale of investment could reach billions of dollars.”

Nobel Nomination Sparks Renewed Speculation

The renewed buzz may also be linked to Pakistan’s recent announcement to nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. The government praised his diplomatic role in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

No Official Confirmation Yet

Despite widespread online speculation, there has been no formal announcement from the Trump Organization or Pakistani authorities. For now, the prospect of a Trump Tower in Islamabad remains unconfirmed and speculative.
