The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a formal investigation into the alleged embezzlement of over 2,800 kanals of state-owned land worth billions of rupees, reportedly orchestrated by Divine Developers and its affiliated companies.
According to a NAB statement, approximately 2,809 kanals of government land across six villages near Lahore’s Airport Road were misappropriated through fake mutations. The affected villages include Mouza Gohawa (Tehsil Cantt), Mouza Kohar, Kair Khurd, Ajodhyapur (Model Town), Mouza Charar, and Sehjpal.
NAB officials are investigating several housing and commercial projects linked to Divine Developers, such as Green Avenue Housing Scheme, Divine Homes, Divine Center, Divine Mega I & II, Cricket Colony, and Khuda Bakhsh Colony.
The main suspects named in the scam include Amjad Aziz, Majid Aziz, Muhammad Younis, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Akmal, Muhammad Afzal, and other family members. NAB alleges the group created over a dozen companies to facilitate the massive land fraud.
The bureau has urged the public to avoid buying or selling property in the affected areas. Victims of fraudulent transactions are encouraged to contact NAB Lahore.
Revenue officials have been directed to submit complete land records, and all future transactions involving these properties will require NAB’s formal approval. Investigations are also underway against government officials accused of aiding the illegal land transfers.

Very good step!! however to improve air quality in Lahore please halt concretization in legal housing societies even in LDA societies as LDA is still selling empty plots via auction to not needed education or commercial plots and etc. instead that should be converted in to green Parks or green corridors in thickly populated areas like Johar Town, Sabzazar, Jubilee Town and etc. Please forget departmental earning because we have to save Lahore and its population from hazardous smoke.
Hazardous air quality has various factors
such as Industrial smoke, Agriculture farms smoke, Bhatta khisht smoke, Concretization because of not needed housing societies, Vehicles smoke and etc. Govt is taking steps to have smoke free Lahore that is highly appreciated.
Appreciated
Ok but is this NAB’s responsibility?
Here in this country every government department wants to do what it likes regardless of whether it is that department’s mandate or not. This is called arm twisting.
