Lahore to Start Automated Parking at 10 New Locations

The Lahore Parking Company has announced it will abolish the traditional slip system and implement an automated parking system at 10 additional sites across the city. This decision follows the successful adoption of automation at Liberty and Barkat Market parking sites.

As part of the upgrade, 100 new thermal printers will be purchased and installed at locations including Children’s Hospital, Main Market Gulberg, Hall Road, Bhandara Center, Mall Road, Nila Gumbad, Johar Town, Iqbal Town, Model Town, and Empress Market.

Parking staff at these sites will be equipped with handheld devices, and all locations will be connected to a central dashboard for real-time monitoring.

The move aims to increase transparency, reduce manual errors, and boost revenue collection. A tender will soon be issued for the procurement of the required equipment. The Lahore Parking Company expects the expanded automated system to further modernize parking management in the city.
