As temperatures soar this summer, Murree is facing a severe water shortage, leaving residents desperate for access to clean water. Many neighborhoods are experiencing drastic reductions in supply, with some areas receiving little to no water at all.
Frustrated citizens are calling on the Deputy Commissioner to intervene and ensure a consistent water supply. They are also demanding strict action against those allegedly taking advantage of the crisis.
Women from several affected localities—including Sadiq Chowk, Lower Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Road, Munshi Mohalla, Shawala, Haji Gali, Sunny Bank, Motor Agency, and Kart Road—complained that water is provided only once daily, and even then, for just a few minutes after 3 PM.
