Weather Department Issues Forecast for Ashura

On July 6, 2025 (10th of Muharram), widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Nowshera, and Peshawar. Authorities have warned that intense downpours could lead to urban flooding, particularly in low-lying neighborhoods of these cities.

Meanwhile, extensive regions of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the federal capital are forecasted to experience rain accompanied by thunder.

In contrast, most areas of Sindh and Balochistan will continue to experience hot and humid weather. However, light rain or drizzle is expected in Karachi and Hyderabad, particularly during the morning and nighttime hours.
