The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has called for a nationwide strike on Saturday, July 19.
Traders aim to line up in protest against recent tax measures introduced by the government in the Finance Bill.
The strike has received backing from major chambers of commerce and various industrial and trade associations across Pakistan.
Key issues behind the protest include the Rs. 200,000 threshold rule, the Federal Board of Revenue’s arrest powers, mandatory digital invoicing, and e-billing systems, all of which have drawn criticism from the business community for being hostile to business operations.
The decision follows an unproductive meeting between KCCI officials and a senior federal minister earlier this week.

All should support this strike call against the corrupted mafia that need money this way to feed for their lavish lives. Curse on the corrupted political and bureaucratic mafias.
