Iran has announced its visa policy for Pakistani pilgrims traveling for the Arbaeen Chehlum of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him). Iranian visas will be issued from the 1st to the 16th of Safar.
For this occasion, Iran has waived all visa fees for Pakistani pilgrims, including those applying for double-entry visas.
Pilgrims planning to attend Arbaeen Chehlum must travel with an officially registered caravan. Each caravan is responsible for arranging its own bus for the overland journey.
Additionally, Pakistani pilgrims are required to secure an Iraqi visa before applying for an Iranian visa. The cost of travel insurance for this journey will be reduced to half the usual rate.
