Good News for Those Waiting for Passport Delivery

Pakistan is entering a new era of passport printing with the introduction of AI-powered machines capable of producing 300 passports per hour, according to Director General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Kazi.

In a recent update, Kazi revealed that six advanced machines were procured in March this year and have now been fully integrated with NADRA’s database to streamline the passport issuance process.

“These machines will significantly reduce waiting times and improve service delivery,” Kazi said, noting the shift as a major leap toward modernizing the passport system.

Another notable development is the inclusion of the mother’s name on the passport, aimed at aligning Pakistan’s documentation practices with international standards and improving identification accuracy.

In separate news, the federal government has recently taken strict measures against citizens deported from other countries for engaging in illegal activities, including canceling their passports and registering criminal charges.

The decision was taken following complaints, particularly from Middle Eastern countries, about public begging and undocumented migration involving Pakistani nationals.
