Digital Monthly Gazette Launched to Celebrate Artistic and Literary Excellence in Government Schools

A group of students, in collaboration with Next Generation Pakistan, launched The Street School Gazette—a monthly digital newsletter under NGP’s Street School project, which advocates for educational rights and quality education for underprivileged communities.

The idea was originally proposed by Dua Shazib, a student in A2, to amplify young voices, celebrate hidden talent, and encourage creativity in underserved schools.

Each month, a different government or government-registered school submitted selected articles, essays, and artwork by their top students.

Their pieces covered a wide range of topics—from history and ethics to personal reflections and momentous national occasions. These were featured on NGP’s Instagram page, with each student individually credited for their contribution.

The heads of the newsletter provided thoughtful, constructive feedback to student writers to help them refine their skills and build confidence—paving the way for future opportunities, including potential contributions to leading publications.

The graphics team worked tirelessly to design visually engaging newsletters that honored the students’ efforts and brought their work to life.
