Eligibility Criteria Announced for PM Laptop Loan Scheme

The Government of Pakistan has formally introduced the Prime Minister’s Laptop Loan Scheme 2025, which will allow students, freelancers, and young professionals to acquire laptops through interest-free installment loans.

Loan Categories

The scheme is divided into three tiers:

• Basic: PKR 150,000
• Medium: PKR 300,000
• Advanced: PKR 450,000

All loans can be repaid in flexible monthly installments spread across multiple years.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Pakistani citizens between the ages of 18 and 35. The scheme is open to:

• University students
• Freelancers
• Young professionals

Priority will be given to applicants from low-income households. Government employees, however, are not eligible.

Required Documents

Applicants are required to provide the following documents:

• CNIC (front and back scanned copies)
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Proof of income (salary slip or guardian’s income statement)
• Educational certificates or university admission proof
• Freelancers may submit links to online work profiles such as Fiverr or Upwork

Application Process

The entire application process will be carried out online through the official PM Youth Program portal.
