FPSC Replaces Written Exams with MCQ-Based System

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a major change for job seekers, confirming that multiple-choice question (MCQ) based exams will replace traditional written tests.

The decision was made during the commission’s 175th meeting, where officials agreed to abolish conventional written examinations for recruitment and introduce a fully MCQ-based system instead. The change will apply to all posts from BS-16 to BS-21 under the general recruitment category.

According to the new policy, candidates will face a 100-mark MCQ paper. Negative marking will be introduced, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. To qualify, applicants will need to score between 40 and 50 marks out of 100, depending on the post.
