The Punjab School Education Department has launched an inquiry after a glaring mistake was found in the Class 9 Computer Science textbook, where the author confused a computer mouse with an actual mouse, translating the word to chooha (rat) in the textbook.
According to the details, the error appeared in Chapter 11 titled Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. Following the discovery, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Authority (PCTB) has demanded a full explanation along with all related records.
The Director of Curriculum and Compliance has been directed to submit a report within one day.
In computer science, the word mouse refers to an input device used to move a cursor and interact with a computer. If you see mistakes in Oxford University Press publications (in Pakistan) may be it is run by Punjab board graduates or they are fed wrong information initially. Like Mouse as Chooha.
