Arslan Ash Cements His Legacy as the Greatest Tekken Player Ever with Seventh EVO Title

Pakistan’s esports superstar Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique has once again made history by winning EVO France 2025 after an incredible comeback from the lower bracket, cementing his status as the greatest Tekken player of all time.

The Tekken legend battled through a field of over 1,100 competitors to claim the Tekken 8 championship, walking away not only with the €7,400 top prize but also his seventh EVO title—the most by any Tekken player in history.

Representing Twisted Minds Esports, Arslan showcased his trademark composure and elite technical mastery, using Nina and Anna to dismantle some of the best players in the world. After an early drop into the lower bracket, he had to grind through elimination matches against some of the toughest names in the scene.

He defeated South Korea’s Qudans and USA’s KingReyJr in commanding fashion, before sweeping Ireland’s Fergus 3–0 in the Losers Final to book his spot in the Grand Final against South Korea’s Jeon “JeonDDing” Sang-hyun. JeonDDing, one of the most respected players on the circuit, had been undefeated in the winners’ run and was seen as the favorite heading into the final but Arslan had other plans.

In a high-intensity matchup, Arslan beat JeonDDing 3–1 to force a bracket reset, a rare occurrence in fighting game tournaments where the player from the lower bracket must win two best-of-five sets. Riding that momentum, Arslan dominated the second set as well, taking it 3–2 again to complete one of the most impressive comebacks in EVO history.

This victory adds another chapter to Arslan Ash’s unbelievable career, which already includes four EVO Japan and two EVO USA titles. With seven EVO championships now under his belt, he remains the only player in Tekken history to win EVO events across three continents: Asia, North America, and Europe.

More than just prize money, Arslan’s triumph symbolizes Pakistan’s growing dominance in the global fighting game community, inspiring a generation of esports hopefuls back home.

In a world of growing competition, one thing remains certain: when it comes to Tekken, the throne still belongs to Arslan Ash.
