Sindh Govt Issues Alert Over Fake Online Ads About Pink Scooty Scheme

The Sindh government has issued a public warning against fake online messages and advertisements claiming registration or payment requirements for the Pink Scooty Scheme, clarifying that the scooters are being provided completely free of cost to eligible women.

In an alert shared through the Sindh Information Department’s official X account, the provincial government said it has taken serious notice of fraudulent claims circulating on social media, which falsely suggest that citizens can apply for the scheme by making online payments.

“The government has not authorized any website, link, or person to collect money or personal information under the Pink Scooty Scheme,” the statement said, calling such messages fabricated and misleading.

Officials explained that the Pink Scooty Scheme is a welfare initiative launched to empower women and promote safe, independent travel across Sindh. Under the program, scooters are distributed free of charge to eligible women who meet the selection criteria.

Citizens have been advised to avoid sharing personal information or making payments through unofficial channels and to rely only on verified government platforms for accurate information.

The Sindh government confirmed that legal action has been initiated against individuals and groups involved in spreading fake messages and misleading the public online.
