Woman Escapes Court After Judge Denies Bail

A woman accused in the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FEHA) fraud case managed to flee from an FIA court in Islamabad on Tuesday after her bail plea was rejected.

The case was heard by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Central Court Judge Humayun Dilawar, who dismissed the bail petitions of both accused — Uzma Batool and Zakir Hussain.

Zakir Hussain, who served as a patwari in the Federal Employees Housing Authority, and his co-accused were charged with exceeding their official powers and illegally allotting plots to individuals not entitled to them.

According to the FIA, the accused caused financial loss and violated the legal rights of genuine property owners.

However, moments after the judge announced the decision, Uzma Batool quietly exited the courtroom and disappeared before authorities could detain her.
