A 19-year-old delivery rider was killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding dumper truck near Garden Town Underpass in Lahore.
The victim was identified as Faizan, a resident of Rehmanpura, who worked as a Food Panda delivery boy. Eyewitnesses said the dumper was moving at high speed when it ran over the motorbike, leaving the young rider fatally injured.
After the incident, the driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle.
Police said a search operation has been launched to trace and arrest the suspect. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the driver and determine the sequence of events.
In another incident, armed robbers looted 55 tolas of gold, 800 UAE dirhams, and valuable watches from a house in Nishtar Town, Lahore.
Police said the house belonged to Khursheed, whose husband works in Dubai. At the time of the robbery, Khursheed was visiting Islamabad to meet relatives.
According to police, her mother-in-law and domestic staff were present during the heist. The woman has suspected her household employees of involvement in the theft.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
