Karachi Traffic Police Makes It Easy to Check E-Challans

The Karachi Traffic Police has launched a new mobile application called “Tracks Citizen” to help motorists access complete information about their vehicles and traffic violations following the rollout of the city’s e-challan system.

According to details, the app allows users to check all vehicles registered under their CNIC and view records of e-challans and traffic violations. Once logged in, all vehicles associated with the user’s ID automatically appear on the dashboard.

Available for both Android and iPhone users, the “Tracks Citizen” app also enables citizens to receive real-time updates on traffic rule violations. Notifications are issued in two parts — a warning message and an official e-ticket (e-challan).

The initiative follows the launch of Karachi’s digital e-challan system, which issued fines exceeding Rs. 12.5 million within just six hours of operation. During this period, a total of 2,662 e-challans were generated for various traffic offenses.

The breakdown of violations includes 419 for overspeeding, 1,535 for not wearing seatbelts, 166 for red-signal violations, 507 for helmetless riding, and 32 for using mobile phones while driving. Other infractions included tinted windows, wrong-way driving, lane and stop-line breaches, and illegal parking.

The Karachi Traffic Police said the digital platform aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and public awareness regarding road safety and compliance.

  • So did you check if the application is available on store before the blog post? It would be worth mentioning the link of application?

  • Dear Arsalan Khattak, you made a blog, sorry to say there is no app available by the name of ‘Tracks Citizen’ on play store.

  • Tracks Citizen application doesnt even exist on playstore neither on appstore, there is no existance of it on the google aswell

  • Its an insecure crappy thing to host the app on your own server, it should be a secure system that is monitored for basic security by an app store.

2ndly, this should be available as a website, not a homebrew app.

3rd, I couldn’t get it to work because the v1 of the app, it failed to text me the code and then there is no way to have it resend the code, and now my account is just stuck in the process.

  • Tracks Citizen app is not available on either Playstore or Applestore, however it is available directly via the official Karachi Traffic Police website, but even after installing it in the phone, the login process of the app does not work. It does not send the verification code to the email neither does it let you create the account. So, it’s totally useless at this moment until the app is ready for public use, we’re stuck with the doubt of us fined with the e-challan!
