Can’t Watch Pakistan VS South Africa ODI Clearly? It’s Way Worse Than You Think

Faisalabad is grappling with severe air pollution as the city ranks second for the worst air quality in Pakistan.

With an AQI (Air Quality Index) score of 259, the city’s environmental conditions have been impacted significantly, affecting the ongoing One Day International (ODI) match between Pakistan and South Africa.

The poor air quality has raised concerns not only for public health but also for the players’ performance. The match atmosphere has been noticeably influenced, leading to challenging conditions for both teams.

During the ongoing first ODI, the umpires had to consult the third umpire to resolve a disputed catch claim by the Pakistan team. This unusual step was taken due to the hazy conditions, which made it difficult to judge the catch accurately.

Faisalabad’s air pollution problem is among the most severe in the country. It follows only Gujranwala, which has an AQI score of 281. The city’s deteriorating air quality raises questions about the viability of hosting international sports events under such hazardous conditions.
