Field Marshal Asim Munir Among Most Influential Muslims in the World

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has been included in The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims list for 2025, alongside several prominent Pakistanis recognized for their contributions across religion, politics, education, and social development.

The annual publication, compiled by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman, Jordan, highlights Muslims who have made a significant impact on the global community—whether culturally, ideologically, financially, or politically.

Among Pakistani figures featured in the top 50 are Mufti Taqi Usmani, who ranked second, Maulana Tariq Jamil at 32, Maulana Nazar-ur-Rehman at 41, and Sheikh Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri at 44.

Other distinguished Pakistanis listed among the remaining 450 include Dr. Farhat Hashmi, Dr. Tahir ul Qadri, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Imran Khan, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Professor Atta-ur-Rehman, Dr. Umar Saif, Muniba Mazari, Malala Yousafzai, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Abida Parveen, Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri, Salman Iqbal, Hamid Mir, and Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman.

First published in 2009, The Muslim 500 has become a globally respected reference, recognizing influential Muslims whose leadership, scholarship, and innovation continue to shape the modern Muslim world.
