A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said all rescue stations and key points in Murree and Kotli Sattian will remain on full alert around the clock under the Emergency Core Plan. The department is preparing for heavy rainfall, hail, and snowfall as forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The Met Office has predicted rain, thunderstorms, high winds, and snowfall in Murree, Galiyat, Attock District, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, and other upper areas. The severe weather is expected as western winds enter the northern regions of the country from the night of November 3 to November 5.

Rescue 1122 has equipped its personnel with rescue vehicles, ambulances, and life-saving equipment. Camp-points staffed 24 hours a day have been set up for public convenience.

The spokesperson explained that the risk of accidents increases due to snowfall, extreme cold, and slippery roads in winter. The public is urged to avoid unnecessary travel, ensure vehicles are fitted with snow chains and have enough fuel, and to call the Rescue 1122 helpline immediately in case of emergency.

Authorities are asking everyone to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents during the harsh winter weather.
