CDA Removes 85 Officials Over Corruption

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has dismissed 85 officers from their positions over charges of mismanagement and financial corruption, according to an official notification.

The action, approved by the CDA chairman, affects key departments including water supply, law, planning, enforcement, environment, construction, and mechanical divisions.

As per the notification, 12 directors and one deputy director general have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSD), while 16 deputy directors and 11 assistant directors were also temporarily designated as OSDs. Additionally, 30 officers and staff from the CDA Deputy Commissioner’s Office have been removed from their posts.

Officials said the decision aims to promote transparency and improve governance within the authority. Reports regarding the suspended officers have also been forwarded to the federal interior minister for further action.
