The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned overseas Pakistanis, especially those living in the United Kingdom, about a fake website imitating the authority to scam users.
According to NADRA, the fraudulent platform, operating under the name “NADRA Card Centre” at nadra.cardcentre.co.uk, is falsely offering services such as NICOP processing, ID card issuance, and even job opportunities. The authority clarified that the website has no affiliation with NADRA and is misusing its name to deceive the public.
Officials cautioned that any personal information submitted on the fake site may be exploited, potentially leading to financial fraud or identity theft. NADRA has filed a formal complaint with the National Cyber Crime Agency and requested swift action against those behind the scam.
NADRA Urges Married Citizens to Update Records
In a separate advisory, NADRA urged all married citizens to update their marital status in its official records to avoid legal issues. Many individuals have registered their marriages with Union Councils but have not updated the information in the NADRA database, the authority noted.
NADRA has introduced an SMS notification service to remind citizens and encourage applicants to visit the nearest center for updates. Mobile users can contact 1777, while landline users may call 051-111-786-100 or visit the official website.
A fee of Rs 100 is charged for updating marital status on a CNIC, categorized as an “unprintable alteration.” Applicants must submit supporting documents such as a marriage certificate or Nikahnama.

Why not tackle the issue instead of warning ? Nadra doesn’t have power now 😆
