The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has unveiled the official schedule for the U19 Asia Cup 2025, setting the stage for another highly anticipated Pakistan–India showdown in the UAE despite the tensions that have unfolded earlier this year.
Pakistan and India have not been on the friendliest of terms in 2025, with the senior Asia Cup, the Women’s ODI World Cup, and the ongoing Asia Cup Rising Stars all affected by political hostilities that have seeped into the sporting landscape. Despite this, the organisers have once again placed Pakistan and India in Group A, as the fixture remains must-see television.
The last time Pakistan met India in the U19 Asia Cup was in 2024, when Saad Baig’s team defeated India by 43 runs.
The tournament begins on 12 December, bringing together the region’s brightest young cricketers as they battle for continental supremacy. The event will conclude with the final on 21 December at the ICC Academy in Dubai. With a strong history in youth tournaments and a fresh pool of emerging talent, Pakistan will be aiming to make a deep run in the competition and challenge for the title.
The schedule was announced through the ACC’s social media channels, where the board highlighted the importance of the tournament and the talent it showcases each year.
