Punjab Approves Rs. 1.5 Billion Road Project

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved Rs. 14 billion for multiple development projects during its meeting in Lahore on Wednesday. The session was chaired by Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf and attended by board members and officials from relevant departments.

The meeting approved Rs. 7.78 billion for the Punjab Socio-Economic Household Comprehensive Survey under the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER). It also cleared Rs. 4.72 billion for strengthening the capacity of nursing and allied health professionals.

The PDWP agreed to allocate Rs. 1.5 billion for constructing a 31-kilometer road from Kahoti to Kalyari. Additionally, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the position paper regarding the creation of posts for an autonomous program.

Position papers on the Incentive Allowance for in-service regular government servants under the PMU and PCICP, as well as the creation of posts for Phase II of the Digital Transformation initiative of the Directorate General Labour Welfare, were also accepted.

The meeting further approved an extension for the completion period of the flood protection project for Sialkot, covering the Nala Aik, Bhid and Palkho areas.
