Rohit Sharma Finally Ends Shahid Afridi’s 15-Year World Record

India’s star opener Rohit Sharma has set a new benchmark in one-day international cricket by becoming the player with the most sixes in ODI history.

The milestone came during the opening match against South Africa in Ranchi, where Rohit went past a record that had belonged to Shahid Afridi for 15 years.

Rohit began the match with 349 sixes in the 50-over format and needed three more to surpass the former Pakistan all-rounder’s long-standing tally of 351.

He achieved the feat in style, smashing three maximums during a rapid half-century, taking his total to 352 sixes in 269 innings.
