Major Islamabad Roads to Remain Closed for Six Hours Today

The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory announcing the temporary closure of several major roads in the federal capital for six hours today.

According to the advisory, multiple roads in Islamabad will remain closed from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to traffic management arrangements. Police Lines Road and Faisal Avenue will remain partially closed, and traffic will be diverted to alternate routes during this time.

Traffic diversions will also be placed on the Srinagar Highway and the Islamabad Express Highway to maintain smooth traffic flow. Commuters have been advised to use Margalla Road, Club Road, and nearby service roads as alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

The Islamabad Traffic Police urged citizens to plan their travel accordingly and leave their homes 20 to 25 minutes earlier than usual to avoid delays. Traffic police personnel will be deployed at key locations across the city to guide motorists and manage traffic effectively.

For assistance or real-time traffic updates, citizens can contact the traffic helpline numbers 1915 or 15. The traffic police have appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities and follow traffic instructions to ensure a smooth commute during the advisory period.
