Pakistan’s Golden Boy to Receive Special Honor at World Sports Summit

Pakistan’s Olympic champion javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, has been invited to attend the prestigious World Sports Summit 2025, where he will also receive a special award in recognition of his achievements.

He will be the only Pakistani athlete participating in the event. The World Sports Summit brings together top athletes, officials, and stakeholders from across the globe to celebrate excellence in sport and discuss its future.

Notable attendees besides Arshad Nadem include former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, tennis superstar Novak Djokovic, NFL star Reggie Bush, as well as football legends Ronaldo Nazário and Paolo Maldini.

Arshad Nadeem’s rise to this level of recognition has been built on a series of historic milestones. He became a national hero after winning Olympic gold in javelin throw, ending Pakistan’s long wait for an Olympic athletics medal and establishing himself among the world’s best.

His performances on the biggest stages have consistently put Pakistan on the global athletics map, inspiring a new generation of track and field hopefuls.

In 2025, Arshad further strengthened his legacy by continuing to compete at the highest level, maintaining his position among the top javelin throwers in the world. He clinched the gold medal in the javelin throw at the 35th National Games with a huge effort of 81.81 metres.

He broke past the 80-metre barrier on his third attempt, earning loud applause from the crowd and once again underlining his status as the country’s top javelin thrower.

Having recently retained his title at the Islamic Solidarity Games, Arshad said his own targets now include top-tier competitions such as the Diamond League, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games. Despite dealing with injury issues earlier in the year, he said he is satisfied with his recent showings and confirmed that he is now fully fit.
