Hardik Pandya, the Indian cricket team’s star all-rounder, faced sarcastic remarks from a fan after refusing to take additional selfies.
According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred on Christmas when Hardik Pandya was leaving a restaurant after attending a celebration.
He was accompanied by his girlfriend, Maheeka Sharma, and was seen holding her hand as they exited the venue.
Despite the late hour, a large number of fans had gathered outside the venue. Hardik first escorted Maheeka Sharma to their car and then returned to the crowd to take selfies. He posed for photos with several fans.
During this time, one fan repeatedly called out to Pandya for a photo. Responding to the repeated request, Pandya said, “I have already taken it. How many more do you want?”
As he turned to leave, the situation escalated when the fan, unable to get closer due to the crowd and security presence, shouted an abusive remark, “Bhaad mein jao” (Go to Hell).
Despite the public nature of the comment, Hardik Pandya did not react and continued walking towards his vehicle without engaging with the individual. It remains unclear whether he heard the remark amid the noise or chose to ignore it deliberately.
By maintaining his composure and avoiding confrontation, Pandya ensured the situation did not escalate further, drawing appreciation for his maturity and restraint in handling the moment.
