The water supply has been suspended in several areas of Karachi after a major water pipeline developed a leak, officials confirmed.
According to details, water accumulated on National Stadium Road due to a leakage in the main water line, causing traffic disruptions in the area.
Sources said that water pooling from Dalmia to National Stadium Road slowed the flow of traffic and created difficulties for commuters.
Water supply was also suspended in several residential and commercial areas, including Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, Gulistan-e-Johar, and nearby localities.
Officials stated that repair work on a 48-inch water pipeline is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the evening.
Due to the leakage, residents faced severe inconvenience. The concerned department has directed that administrative measures remain in place until the repair work is completed.
