Punjab to Establish PERA Strike Enforcement Stations Across Province

The Punjab government has reportedly approved the launch of Strike Enforcement Stations under the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), 24News reported.

The move aims to strengthen on-ground enforcement and enable faster action across the province.

Under the new structure, a PERA Strike Force will be deployed for immediate response operations. The units will support key provincial bodies, including the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), and Regional Transport Authorities (RTAs).

The report stated the Strike Enforcement Stations will have jurisdiction across Punjab, allowing teams to act quickly against violations without geographical restrictions.

To back this expansion, the government has reportedly approved amendments to the PERA Act 2024. The revised law now grants PERA the legal authority to conduct enhanced enforcement activities.

Under these amendments, the PERA force will be empowered to take action against tax defaulters, illegal private housing societies, and transport operators violating regulations.
