A Reddit user has accused Corsair of cancelling a confirmed prebuilt PC order and then relisting the same system at a higher price, prompting criticism across online forums.
The price of this user’s PC was raised by $800 after ordering the machine already, which translates to a whopping Rs. 224,535 based on the current exchange rate.
The issue was shared by Reddit user u/Senior_Ball_9068, who said he placed an order for a Corsair Vengeance a5100 on December 31. The system was priced at $3,499.99 and included an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor, an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a 2TB solid-state drive. According to the post, Corsair issued an invoice and confirmed the order.
My order has been cancelled and they raised the price.

The user said he received an email the following day stating that the order had been cancelled. When he returned to Corsair’s website to reorder the system, he found the same configuration listed again at a higher price of $4,299.99.
He shared a screenshot of the updated listing on Reddit, showing the same specifications with the increased price. The post gained traction quickly, with many users questioning the decision to cancel a confirmed order and relist it almost immediately.
Several Reddit users speculated that rising DDR5 memory prices may have contributed to the change. Memory prices have fluctuated in recent months as manufacturers prioritize higher margin enterprise and AI-focused products, tightening supply for consumer PCs.
While Corsair’s terms allow the company to cancel orders before shipping, many users criticized how the situation appeared to unfold, noting that the system was relisted shortly after the cancellation.
Corsair’s Response
After the discussion spread, a Corsair employee using the account u/CorsairLucky responded in the Reddit thread, saying the company was looking into the matter. The employee asked the customer to share the order number through a direct message and indicated the issue could be reviewed.
The response suggested the customer might still be able to receive the PC at the original $3,499.99 price. As of now, neither Corsair nor the affected user has posted a follow-up confirming the outcome.
