FKS has emerged as the successful bidder for the Pakistan Super League’s seventh franchise after making the highest offer in the ongoing auction.
FKS officials have confirmed that the new team will be from Hyderabad.
The group secured Team 7 with a winning bid of Rs. 175 crore. The bid exceeded the base price of Rs. 110 crore set by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the new franchise.
The auction took place in Islamabad and attracted interest from multiple parties. In the first round, FKS outbid other contenders to claim ownership rights.
The sale marks a key step in the PSL’s expansion. League officials aim to strengthen competition and boost commercial value by adding a seventh team.
More details about the new team, branding, and management structure, are expected to be announced in the coming days.
