PM Inaugurates Pakistan Assan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the Pakistan Assan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad, a one-stop facility designed to provide integrated public services to residents of the federal capital.

During the ceremony, the prime minister expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan for his cooperation in establishing the center.

Recalling his visit to Baku, he said the Azerbaijani model of efficient public service inspired the concept of the Markaz.

Key government institutions, including NADRA, the Foreign Office, police, and other departments, will operate under one roof to streamline citizen services.

Shehbaz Sharif also announced plans to establish similar service centers in Muzaffarabad and Gilgit-Baltistan, aiming to expand accessibility nationwide.

The prime minister was briefed on the operational framework and services offered at the center, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and citizen satisfaction.

Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the government’s focus on transforming Pakistan into a regional hub for information technology, encouraging youth to pursue IT education, skills development, and entrepreneurship.

He noted that providing internationally competitive IT training remains a top priority, with laptops being distributed to high-achieving students to support their academic growth.
