PCB Invites Bids for PSL Media Rights

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it will sell the media rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for a four-year cycle covering the 2026 to 2029 seasons.

In a statement released on Thursday, the PCB said it has invited applications from interested parties to acquire the league’s media rights. The package includes television broadcasting rights as well as live streaming rights.

The board clarified that the rights on offer are limited to the Pakistan region only and do not include international broadcast territories.

According to the PCB, interested bidders can submit their applications until February 4. Once the deadline passes, the bidding process will move to the next stage.

The PCB said the sale of the media rights is aimed at securing long-term broadcast partnerships and strengthening the commercial value of the PSL, which has grown into one of Pakistan’s leading sporting events since its launch.

Previously, A Sports secured the television broadcast rights, while Walee Technology won the digital streaming rights, with both deals signed for two-year periods starting in 2024.

Media rights remain the PSL’s largest source of revenue, with 95% of the earnings distributed among the league’s franchises.
