Lahore Police have arrested Salman Qadir, the son of former Pakistan legend Abdul Qadir, on allegations of sexually assaulting a domestic worker.
Barki Police registered an FIR after receiving a complaint from the 21-year-old victim.
Officers took Salman Qadir into custody following the registration of the case under charges related to sexual assault.
According to police, the victim told investigators that the suspect contacted her by phone and asked her to report to work earlier than her usual time.
She said that when she reached the main gate of a private housing society, the suspect allegedly forced her into his car. He then reportedly took her to his farmhouse, where the assault took place.
SP Cantt Ikhlaqullah Tarar said police lodged the FIR after completing all legal requirements based on the victim’s statement. He added that investigators are now examining all aspects of the case.
Authorities said the victim is undergoing medical examinations and has been provided legal assistance. Officials stressed that the investigation remains ongoing.
