Punjab Class 8 Exam Start Date and Subjects Revealed

Class 8 board examinations in government schools across Punjab will resume in the second week of March under the supervision of the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority.

For the first time, authorities will assess answer sheets through a computerized marking system. Officials said they will announce the results on March 31.

The examinations will last two to three days and will cover four subjects: Urdu, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies. The Punjab government has allocated Rs. 1.6 billion for conducting the exams.

The authority has issued standard operating procedures for examination staff. School heads will act as resident inspectors, senior teachers will serve as superintendents, and primary and elementary teachers will perform duties as test administrators.

Authorities will select staff for each examination center through an online system. Schools will conduct exams for the remaining subjects internally.

Punjab previously introduced Class 8 board examinations through the Punjab Examination Commission, but authorities discontinued the system after five years and dissolved the commission. After a seven-year gap, the government has reinstated the exams under the new authority.
