Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced the launch of a new electric bus route in Karachi under the People’s Bus Service, aimed at improving connectivity and expanding the city’s public transport network.
In a statement, Memon said the new route will start operating from tomorrow and will run between Gulshan-e-Maymar and Tower.
He said the route has been introduced following the arrival of new electric buses and will further strengthen Karachi’s modern and environmentally friendly public transport system.
According to the minister, the expansion of the People’s Bus Service is part of the Sindh government’s efforts to provide safe, affordable and comfortable travel facilities to citizens.
Memon said the new route will improve connectivity between residential areas and commercial centres of the city, making daily commuting easier for thousands of passengers.
He added that the government is continuing to expand the electric bus network in Karachi in order to promote sustainable transport and reduce environmental pollution while providing reliable public transport options to residents.
