Samsung Galaxy S26 Can Now Officially Transfer Files With Apple’s AirDrop

Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy S26 lineup will soon support file sharing with Apple devices through Quick Share, expanding a feature first introduced by Google on the Pixel 10 series in November 2025 and Oppo devices earlier this year.

Google initially launched Quick Share interoperability with Apple’s AirDrop on the Pixel 10 series, allowing users to exchange files between Android and Apple devices. The company later confirmed that the feature would roll out to older Pixel models and other Android smartphones.

Support was added to the Pixel 9 series last month and is now being extended to Samsung’s latest flagship lineup.

Rollout and Availability

Samsung said the feature will arrive via a software update for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Hopefully, the feature will arrive on older and cheaper Samsung phones as well.

The rollout will begin in South Korea, followed by regions including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.

How the Feature Works

Once updated, users can enable the feature through the Settings app. By navigating to Connected devices and selecting Quick Share, users can turn on the “Share with Apple devices” option.

After activation, users will be able to send and receive files directly between Android and Apple devices.

The feature is expected to expand to additional Android smartphones, although a detailed rollout timeline has not been provided.

Oppo has already confirmed that its Find X9 series will also receive support for the feature in the near future.
