Punjab Issues 5.5 Million Driving Licences in 100 Days

Punjab Traffic Police has issued 5.5 million licences over the past 100 days, including learner’s, regular and other categories, a spokesperson said.

During this period, more than 2.2 million learner’s licences and 147,000 regular driving licences were issued across the province.

More than 186,000 citizens renewed their learner, regular and international licences, while over 8,700 individuals obtained duplicate licences.

The department also issued more than 13,700 international driving permits.

The spokesperson said over 2.142 million citizens used online licensing services, reflecting increased reliance on the digital system.
