Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a smaller Dynamic Island across its entire iPhone 18 series, according to a new rumor shared by tipster Ice Universe.
Earlier speculation suggested that the company might remove the Dynamic Island entirely from the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Still, more recent reports indicate Apple will instead reduce its size.
Smaller Dynamic Island for All Models
The latest leak claims the change will not be limited to the Pro models. Instead, the entire lineup, including the standard iPhone 18 and the rumored iPhone Air 2, will feature a smaller pill-shaped cutout.
The Dynamic Island, first introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro, integrates notifications, alerts, and background activities into the display area surrounding the front camera and sensors.
Bezels Expected to Stay the Same
According to the rumor, Apple will keep the display bezels unchanged compared with the iPhone 17 lineup. That means the smaller Dynamic Island may be the main visible design change on the front of the new devices.
Performance Upgrades Likely
Like previous generations, the new phones are also expected to receive updated chips and internal hardware improvements.
Leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro models could launch in the fall alongside a possible foldable device, sometimes rumored as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 18 and other variants may debut in the following spring.
Apple has not officially confirmed any details about the next-generation iPhones.
