New School Timings Announced Across the Province

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has officially announced a new timetable for public schools across the province.

According to the notification, primary schools will begin at 7:30 a.m. and close at 1:35 p.m.

The new schedule also makes it mandatory for school assemblies to include moral training, speeches on various topics, and practical activities for students.

The Education Minister, Arshad Ayub Khan, has issued a statement directing that students be given moral education through speeches on three days of the week and skits on the remaining three days.

In addition, school heads have been instructed to organize a weekly “Bazm-e-Adab” (literary session) on the last working day of each week.

Following the literary session, the final three periods of the day will be dedicated to staff meetings and the completion of registers.

The notification further states that in cases of teacher shortages or long-term leave, school heads and subject specialists will take classes.

All District Education Officers have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the new timetable in schools.
