Stars secured a dominant 52-run victory over Invincibles in the final of the National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025–26 at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground, successfully defending their title.
The win earned Stars the championship trophy along with prize money of Rs. 1.5 million, capping off another strong campaign.
Captain Tuba Hassan led from the front with an outstanding all-round performance. She finished the tournament with 192 runs and 10 wickets and was named joint Player of the Tournament alongside Conquerors’ Fatima Sana, who scored 271 runs and took eight wickets.
Batting first in the final, Stars posted 156 for 9 in 20 overs. Tuba played a crucial innings, scoring 50 off 31 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Her knock came at a key moment when Stars were struggling at 96 for 7, marking her second half-century of the tournament.
Sidra Amin added 30 off 23 balls, hitting one four and two sixes, helping push the total to a competitive score.
For Invincibles, Amber Kainat and Momina Riasat took two wickets each, maintaining pressure during key stages of the innings.
In response, Invincibles were bowled out for 104 in 16.1 overs. Captain Muneeba Ali made a quick 27 off 13 balls, but the chase fell short.
Muneeba ended the tournament as the leading run-scorer and was named Best Batter after scoring 344 runs in nine matches, including four half-centuries, at a strike rate of 142.74.
Stars’ bowlers sealed the win with a strong performance. Tuba Hassan and Ayesha Bilal claimed three wickets each, while Omaima Sohail added two wickets to complete a convincing all-round victory.
