The 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) will feature Pashto commentary for the first time, with the new feed set to begin during Peshawar Zalmi’s remaining matches in the ongoing 11th edition of the league.
The development came after Peshawar Zalmi signed an agreement with a private digital platform, which will stream the 2017 champions’ remaining PSL 11 matches with Pashto commentary.
Peshawar Zalmi is scheduled to play at least two more matches in the ongoing eight-team tournament. The table-toppers will face three-time champions Islamabad United in the Qualifier at the National Bank Stadium on Tuesday.
If Zalmi win the Qualifier, they will move directly into the final. If they lose, they will face the winner of Eliminator 1 between Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen in the third playoff for another chance to reach the final.
The PSL 11 final is scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
The introduction of Pashto commentary is another step toward increasing fan engagement in the league. The ongoing edition has also featured a separate Urdu commentary feed for the first time.
“We have already agreed on some things that we will do for their engagement. So one element in that is, one channel will be so dedicated, in which all the commentary and feed will be of Urdu,” PSL CEO Salman Naseer said during a joint press conference with Walee Technologies’ Ahsan Tahir in February.
