New Pakistani Private Airline to Launch Flights in June

Pakistan’s aviation sector is set to expand further as a new private airline prepares to begin commercial operations, aiming to improve regional connectivity across underserved parts of the country.

South Air plans to launch flight operations in June using ATR 72 aircraft, with reports indicating that one of its aircraft on a delivery flight to Pakistan recently arrived in Egypt from Italy.

The airline is expected to initially operate flights connecting Gwadar, Turbat, and Panjgur with major cities including Karachi, Quetta, and Islamabad. According to reports, the carrier plans to begin regular operations during the first week of June.

South Air describes itself as a next generation domestic airline focused on affordable and accessible regional air travel. The company says it aims to connect smaller cities with Pakistan’s major economic hubs while improving travel options for communities with limited air connectivity.

Information available on the airline’s website shows that South Air plans to operate flights to destinations including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur, Gilgit, Chitral, and Skardu.

  • Highly appreciated the concept. This will enable maximum utilization of CPL ATPL pilots available locally in abundance. Have a long term contract with senior retired PAF pilots and short-term contracts with CPL civil flying club pilots to accommodate them for further better options to fly in the world…
